Pepper stuffed with ground beef recipe

Stuffed chiles are a very versatile dish, since they can be prepared with a wide variety of chiles and with an infinite number of fillings. There is a style for every taste, very spicy, slightly spicy or not at all spicy, with sweet, sweet and sour or salty filling, large, medium or small, and you can be creative when cooking them. On this occasion, we have an exquisite Mexican recipe for you, a dish that consists of peppers stuffed with a delicious minced meat. You will see that you will love it, since in addition to being an easy and practical recipe, it is very healthy and contains a large amount of vegetables, it is cooked in the oven and, therefore, it has very little fat.

Ingredients to make Ground Beef Stuffed Pepper:

  • 4 pieces of bell pepper
  • 400 grams of ground beef
  • 2 carrots
  • 200 grams of Peas
  • 1 large potato
  • ¼ onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of Oil

How to make Ground Beef Stuffed Pepper:

  1. In the following image you can see the ingredients that we will need to prepare these delicious peppers stuffed with ground meat.
  2.  In some countries, peas are known as peas or peas.
  3. We are going to start by chopping the carrot and potato into small cubes.
  4. Once ready, we place them in a saucepan with enough boiling water so that they cook very well.
  5.  We also add the peas or peas and let it all cook together, adding a pinch of salt.
  6. This process can take approximately 20 minutes.
  7. Once the vegetables are cooked, remove them from the heat, drain and reserve.
  8. In another deep saucepan add the oil, heat it over medium heat and, once hot, add the chopped onion and garlic so that they are fried. We add a little of salt.
  9. Once the onion is transparent, to continue with the pepper filling, add the ground beef to the saucepan and stir to incorporate it perfectly.
  10.  Let it cook for approximately 15 minutes, stirring constantly so that the cooking is uniform.
  11. Meanwhile, we take the peppers and cut the upper part with the stem to form a kind of lid (as seen in the image).
  12.  Then, we deveined the chiles and cleaned them very well inside. We reserve them for a moment.
  13. On the other hand, once the ground meat is cooked, we add the vegetables and let the filling ingredients finish cooking all together.
  14. When the ground meat and vegetables are ready, we proceed to fill the peppers.
  15.  To do this, we take a bit of the stew and completely cover the inside of the chiles, as seen in the photograph.
  16. Once stuffed, we place them on a greased oven tray with a little butter, we put a little string cheese on top, or any other type of cheese, we add the lids so that they also cook on one side, not on top of the chiles, and bake the peppers stuffed with ground beef for 10 minutes at 170 °C.
  17. After this time, the peppers stuffed with ground meat are ready to be enjoyed.
  18. They are perfect accompanying them with a little white rice or cream of corn.
