Ingredients to make Chocolate with pepper:
- 1 cup of whole milk
- 1 cup of evaporated milk
- 2 tablespoons of Cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons of corn starch
- ½ tablespoon of Cinnamon
- ½ dessert spoon of cloves
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
How to make Pepper Chocolate:
- Before preparing the chocolate with pepper, we will prepare all the ingredients and utensils necessary for our recipe.
- Reserve half a glass of milk, pour the rest of the whole milk, as well as the evaporated milk, into a pot and heat over medium heat. Add the cocoa powder and dissolve perfectly without the milk coming to a boil.
- While stirring, add cayenne pepper, cloves, cinnamon and stir well. At this point we can sweeten the preparation with honey, sugar or stevia to taste.
- Separately, dissolve the corn starch in the reserved half glass of cold milk and add to the saucepan. If you don’t like your chocolate too thick, start with a single tablespoon of cornmeal dissolved in cold milk, adding more if necessary.
- Let it boil without stopping to move for a couple of minutes until the chocolate with pepper begins to thicken. Remove from the heat, correct the seasoning of spices or sugar and serve. You can prepare this chocolate to accompany some sweet walnut rolls.
- Tip: If you prefer, you can strain the chocolate before serving.
