Peceto recipe with mustard

Ingredients to make Peceto with mustard:

  • 1 kilo of peceto (eye round)
  • 1 bowl of beef broth
  • 1 cup mustard
  • 4 sprigs of fresh oregano
  • 4 sprigs of fresh thyme
  • 1 pinch of black pepper
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 drizzle of olive oil
  • 2 onions
  • 1 handful of dried oregano

How to make Peceto with mustard:

  1. At the base of a baking dish, place the julienned onions and drizzle with the olive oil. This is the first step to prepare the mustard fish.
  2. Season the peceto with salt and pepper and cover it completely with the mustard.
  3. Put the sprigs of herbs on top and place in the dish, on top of the onions
  4. Add the meat broth and sprinkle everything with dried oregano (your choice).
  5. If you prefer, you can make the beef broth recipe yourself instead of buying it already made.
  6. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and cook the peceto with mustard in a strong oven for an hour.
  7. Then remove the aluminum foil and leave in a soft oven for 15 more minutes.
  8. Chop the fish in mustard sauce into slices or slices and serve with the cooking bottom. It can be accompanied with mashed potatoes or baked potatoes, for example.
