Peas with ham recipe

In this recipe we bring a typical Spanish accompaniment or starter, peas with Serrano ham. In the traditional recipe, both ingredients are sautéed, but this time, we are going to give it a special and different touch. Keep reading and discover the step by step that we offer you to prepare this Spanish recipe.

Ingredients to make Peas with ham:

  • 500 grams of Peas
  • 60 grams of Serrano ham
  • 1 unit of white onion
  • 1 cup of Milk (240 milliliters)
  • 1 teaspoon of wheat flour
  • 1 pinch of garlic paste
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of black pepper

How to make Peas with Ham:

  1. The first step to make this Spanish recipe with peas is to prepare the ingredients.
  2. Bring a deep pot with enough water over medium heat, once the water is boiling add the peas and cook them until they are soft.
  3. Remove them from the water and reserve them.
  4. Bring a frying pan over medium heat and add a little olive or sunflower oil, add the soft onion in small squares and sauté it.
  5. Add the Serrano ham in very thin strips and sauté for a few minutes.
  6. Add the peas to the bread where we have the rest of the ingredients.
  7. Add a little salt, black pepper and garlic paste to taste. You can also add one or two minced garlic cloves.
