Peach Pie Recipe

Ingredients to make Peach Pie:

  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • 23 grams of corn starch
  • 1 piece of whole cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 dash of vanilla essence
  • For the mass
  • 165 grams of unsalted butter
  • 80 grams of white sugar

How to make Peach Pie:

  1. To get started with the peach pie recipe, first make the peach filling.
  2. To do this you must weigh 30 grams of unsalted butter, 30 grams of white sugar, peach and corn starch.
  3. Cut the peaches into small pieces.
  4.  Keep in mind that when you cut the peach you must be careful because sometimes there are remains of bone. Reserve the syrup.
  5. Dissolve the corn starch with a splash of syrup and stir with the help of a spoon until the ingredients are integrated.
  6. Then, in a medium saucepan, add the peach pieces, butter at room temperature, a pinch of nutmeg, cinnamon, and the cornstarch dissolved in water or syrup.
  7. Bring to medium heat approximately 5 minutes or until you feel that the starch is thick. Remove the cinnamon stick.
  8. Now start preparing the dough. Mix the salt with the flour and make a volcano with the help of a bowl.
  9. In the middle, add an egg, vanilla essence, sugar and 3 tablespoons of water. Mix the ingredients by hand from the inside out.
  10. When the ingredients are integrated, add the butter and continue to knead until you get a dough.
  11. Let the peach pie dough rest for approximately 15-20 minutes.
  12. Grease the pie bowl with butter, then sprinkle with flour.
  13. After the resting time of the dough, divide it into two equal parts and stretch the first part with the help of a rolling pin.
  14. Sprinkle a little flour on the work surface to prevent sticking. We point out that the dough cannot be too thick or too thin.
  15. Very carefully place the stretched dough in the container and cut the excess dough from the edges with the help of a knife.
  16. Once ready, with the help of a fork, prick all the dough to prevent it from inflating.

  18. Roll out the second part of the doughin the same way as the first and use a cutter or knife.
  19.  Form strips of dough and place them on top of the foot. Next, paint the dough with a beaten egg and sprinkle with white sugar. Bake at 170ºC for 40-45 minutes.
