Ingredients to make Pâté de peas:

  1.  200 grams of frozen peas (1 cup)
  2.  100 grams of avocado (a small avocado)
  3.  25 grams of olive oil (1/4 cup)
  4.  1 pinch of salt (1/2 teaspoon)
  5.  1 dessert spoon of black sesame seeds

How to make Pea Pate:

  • To start with the pea’s pate recipe, you can use both fresh and frozen peas. You should know that you can find them frozen all year round, therefore, in this recipe we use them frozen. Likewise, to make the pâté, put the peas to cook with a little salt in water, according to the manufacturer, they are normally between 6-10 minutes from the first boil, until the peas are tender.
  • Drain the peas and add to the blender jar. Next, peel the avocado, chop it and also add it to the blender glass along with the olive oil and salt. Crush everything well so that it is a fine pâté without lumps. Taste for salt to see if it’s to your liking or you need to add a little more.
  • Tip: if you want to give the pâté a fresher flavor, add fresh mint or spearmint.
  • Help yourself with a spatula to remove all the pea pate and add it to a bowl. Then sprinkle with black sesame seeds. Let stand in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
