Pasta with zucchini and bacon recipe

Ingredients to make Pasta with zucchini and bacon:

  1. 400 grams of Noodles or another type of pasta
  2. 1 onion
  3. 1 zucchini
  4. 2 garlic cloves
  5. 1 splash of olive oil
  6. 1 pinch of salt
  7. 200 grams of smoked bacon
  8. 1 handful of grated cheese (optional)
  9. 1 pinch of oregano (optional)

How to make Pasta with zucchini and bacon:

  • First of all, to start preparing these noodles with zucchini and bacon we have to cook the pasta, which is what takes the longest to make. To do this, you have to put a pot with plenty of water to boil with a handful of salt. Once it boils, add the pasta and cook it according to the manufacturer’s instructions so that it is al dente.
  • Meanwhile, we cut the smoked bacon into small pieces and fry them in a pan with very little oil, since the bacon already has a lot of fat and needs almost no oil to cook, until it is very crispy. Then we remove it from the pan and reserve.
  • So, while the smoked bacon is being made, we peel and chop the onion and the garlic cloves, and the zucchini too but without peeling it, we just wash it well and cut them into thin slices, so the pasta dish with zucchini and onion will be much more colorful.
  • Sauté the vegetables in the same pan with the bacon oil itself over medium-low heat with a pinch of salt until they are well fried. So the pasta with bacon and zucchini will have much more flavor.
  • Once the noodles are cooked, we transfer them to a colander, rinse them with cold water to cut the cooking quickly and drain them well. When the vegetables are well fried, add the pasta and bacon and sauté everything together for a few minutes.
  • Finally, serve the pasta with zucchini and bacon immediately on a plate so it doesn’t get cold and decorate with a little grated cheese and dried oregano leaves on top if you like.
