Pasta with smoked tofu and mushrooms recipe

Pasta with smoked tofu and mushrooms is an ideal recipe to eat at lunchtime, tofu is a low-calorie food of Chinese origin that adds flavor to our dishes and even more so if it is eaten smoked as in this case.

Ingredients to make Pasta with smoked tofu and mushrooms:

  1. 200 grams of short pasta
  2. 100 grams of Mushrooms
  3. 1 unit of white onion
  4. 1 clove garlic
  5. 80 grams of smoked tofu
  6. 150 milliliters of Cream of milk (¾ cup)
  7. 60 milliliters of white wine
  8. 100 milliliters of vegetable broth
  9. 20 milliliters of olive oil
  10. 1 pinch of salt
  11. 1 pinch of Pepper

How to make Pasta with Smoked Tofu and Mushrooms:

  • Before making this vegetarian recipe, the first step is to get all the ingredients ready.
  • In a pan with olive oil, cook the onion cut into feathers until soft; add the mushrooms cut into slices and sauté until golden.
  • It is time to add the smoked tofu cut into small cubes and the finely chopped garlic, sauté for a few more minutes.
  • Add the white wine, wait for the alcohol to evaporate immediately, add the vegetable broth and when it is boiling, add the heavy cream and cook until you get a creamy and slightly thick mixture. Rectify flavor with salt and pepper.
  • Cook the short pasta in boiling salted water until al dente, approximately 12 minutes, drain and toss with olive oil.
  • Serve the pasta and cover with the tofu sauce with mushrooms, if you want to sprinkle with dried oregano, it is an ideal recipe for vegetarians since tofu replaces any type of meat.
