If you are looking for cold salads to prepare in a few minutes, we recommend this pasta salad with pineapple and tuna, which children also love. We hope you like it!
Ingredients to make Tuna Pineapple Pasta Salad:
- 80 grams of canned pineapple
- 200 grams of Pasta
- 2 cans of canned tuna
- 1 can of sweet corn
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2 tablespoons of Mayonnaise
- 3 dessert spoons of Ketchup
How to make Tuna Pineapple Pasta Salad:
We gather all the ingredients to prepare the pasta salad with pineapple and tuna. First, cook the pasta in plenty of hot water with a pinch of salt. Once cooked, cool with cold water and drain. For pineapple salads we like to use short pasta like these fusilli.
Tip: The cooking time depends on the manufacturer’s instructions.
Place the pasta in a salad bowl and add the drained tuna on top. Remember that tuna has a lot of protein. If you use prickly pear in its own juice it will have fewer calories than prickly pear in oil.
To continue with this pasta salad, we add the pineapple cut into pieces. For this recipe we have used canned pineapple, but natural pineapple is also perfect for this cold salad. In addition, it is a very diuretic food.
Now we add the sweet corn that we have previously washed and drained. In this pasta salad, the corn combines very well with the rest of the flavors.
To dress the pasta salad with pineapple and tuna, mix ketchup and mayonnaise in a bowl and stir well to obtain a light and homogeneous pink sauce. Let’s pour the sauce over the pasta salad and ready to serve!
The recipe for pasta salad with pineapple and tuna can also be seasoned with a little salt and olive oil if you want it to be lighter.
