Pasta salads are perfect dishes to enjoy in summer and hot weather. In this case we will show you how to prepare it with tuna and boiled egg, a classic and easy recipe that we should all have on hand.

Ingredients to make Pasta Salad:

  • 1 unit of Egg
  • 1 can of tuna in oil
  • 50 grams of short pasta
  • ½ can of sweet corn
  • 1 handful of olives
  • 2 tablespoons of Mayonnaise
  • 1 pinch of salt

How to make Pasta Salad:

First of all, get all the ingredients ready. Keep in mind that pasta salads are usually made with short pasta, of this type you can use the one you like the most.

First boil the egg. Remember that for it to be perfect you must take it over low heat in a pot with cold water. When it breaks the boil, turn off the heat and leave covered until the water cools to room temperature.

Apart, also boil the pasta in a traditional way. With water and a pinch of salt, check the manufacturer’s instructions so that the pasta is al dente.

When ready, mix with a little oil and drain the pasta under the stream. Reserve to cool to room temperature. The pasta salad is cold, so we won’t be able to mix the pasta while it’s hot.

Meanwhile, cut the olives into slices. You can use green or black, whichever you prefer. I have used green olives stuffed with anchovies that combine perfectly with this pasta and tuna salad.

In a bowl, mix the tuna, the olives that we have cut and the corn with the mayonnaise. Add a pinch of salt and pepper if you consider it necessary.

With both preparations at room temperature, mix the short pasta with the tuna mixture.  Mix everything until the ingredients are evenly distributed. Refrigerate at least one hour before serving.

Before serving, cut the boiled egg into wedges. We will use these for the decoration of the plate, although if you prefer you can cut it smaller and mix it with the whole salad.

Serve the pasta salad with tuna and decorate the plate with the slices of boiled egg and a couple of balls of mozzarella cheese.
