Orange, tuna and fresh cheese salad recipe

To eat a healthy diet and forget about the dreaded scale, it is best to include salads in our daily lives. Alone or accompanied by a light dish, they are a good alternative for meals but, above all, for dinner, when we are all tired and want to prepare something quickly to finally rest. We prepare a salad using the oranges that are still in season and provide a lot of flavor and freshness. Take good note and don’t let your dinners be boring with this recipe for orange, tuna and fresh cheese salad.

Ingredients to make orange, tuna and fresh cheese salad:

  • 1 lettuce
  • 1 can of tuna in oil
  • 1 can of sweet corn
  • 60 grams of pitted black olives
  • 1 handful of currants
  • 1 handful of croutons
  • 1 handful of salad seeds
  • 2 oranges
  • 100 grams of Burgos cheese
  • 1 pinch of minced garlic
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 splash of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 pinch of salad herbs

How to make orange, tuna and fresh cheese salad:

First, we cut the lettuce and wash it with plenty of water. We centrifuge it and reserve it. If we don’t have a centrifuge, we leave it in a colander so that it releases as much water as possible and the orange salad with tuna doesn’t get watery.

We peel the oranges trying not to leave much white skin because it is bitter; we cut them in half, remove the white center and dice them. We put them in a salad bowl.

Drain the corn and olives and add them together with a handful of raisins and another of salad seeds.

Add the well-drained lettuce and dress with oil, salad herbs and a little minced garlic. Mix well so that the flavors of the orange salad with lettuce are integrated and reserve. Drain the tuna and put it on the rest of the shredded ingredients. Drain the cheese, cut it into cubes and put it on top of the tuna.

Finally, add a handful of croutons and serve immediately to prevent the bread from getting soft. As we said, this orange salad with tuna and fresh cheese is perfect for dinner or to serve as an accompaniment to a main course, such as baked pork ribs. Bon Appetite!
