Orange rice recipe

Ingredients to make Orange Rice:

  • 1 cup of white rice
  • 1 unit of white onion
  • 1 pinch of garlic paste
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of black pepper
  • 2 units of Oranges
  • 1 cup of chicken stock

How to make Orange Rice:

  1. Our first step to make the rice with citrus recipe is to prepare the ingredients. At the bottom we have the cup of chicken bottom, the appearance can be a bit overwhelming because this bottom compacts after being frozen and takes on a gelatinous appearance.
  2. Bring a deep pot to medium heat. Add a teaspoon of sunflower oil and add the finely chopped onion.
  3. Add salt, black pepper and garlic paste to taste. Sauté for a few more minutes.
  4. Add the rice and sauté for a couple of minutes. Remember that for a cup of rice, two cups of water or any liquid you use are necessary
  5. Add the orange juice (approximately 1 cup) and the chicken stock (1 cup). What we are going to do is replace the water with these two liquids that will be the base of our recipe. Let cook over medium heat until the rice is dry. Then lower the heat to a simmer, cover our pot and let it cook for about 10 more minutes.
  6. Trick: The chicken stock with the orange juice will give this recipe an incomparable flavor.
  7. Ideally, our rice should be at the desired cooking point, you will also notice that it takes on an orange-like color due to the juice of this fruit.
  8. To serve, add our rice to the orange in an ink well to give it shape.
  9. Turn the well of ink on a plate and you will realize that it is in a round shape, ideal for serving and accompanying this citrus rice with any type of protein.
  10. Serve the orange rice and decorate with a slice of fresh orange and a few sprigs of mint. Use it to accompany fried fish or grilled chicken
