  • 1 kilogram of onion
  • cheese to taste
  • 60 grams of grated cheese
  • 1 piece of ginger
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 jet of olive oil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 beaten egg

How to make Onion Cheese Tart:

The first step in making our salty puff pastry tart will be organizing the ingredients. Then you must cut the onion into feathers, the cheese into cubes, the garlic cloves and the parsley finely and finally, grate the ginger.

Remember that ginger is a root with a very powerful flavor, so a one-centimeter piece will suffice. As for the cheese, you can use the type that you like the most, better if it is a salty one. To make the filling for the savory tart, put olive oil in a hot pan and add the onion along with the garlic and ginger, also add a pinch of salt and cook until the onion is transparent.

At that time, remove from the heat and add the cheese cubes and a little chopped parsley to the pan. Stir everything so that the ingredients are distributed evenly and the cheese melts a little. Now, spread out the puff pastry and cut two equal tops. We will use one as a base, placing it on a cake mold previously greased with oil or butter. Then prick the base with a fork to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.
