Oatmeal Nachos Recipe

In general, they are made with corn flour and fried, which is why they are unhealthy. Ingredients to make Oatmeal Nachos:

• ½ cup oatmeal

• ¼ cup rolled oats

• ¼ cup of cornmeal (30 grams)

• 1 tablespoon of oil

• 1 teaspoon of seeds

• 1 tablespoon grated cheese

• 1 teaspoon of turmeric

• 1 pinch of ground chili

• 1 pinch of salt

How to make Oatmeal Nachos:

The first step in this recipe for oatmeal nachos consists of mixing the dry ingredients, that is, the corn flour, the seeds, the seasonings, the grated cheese, the flour and the oat flakes. The mixture of oatmeal with corn flour will give it a crunchy touch, while the condiments and cheese will give it the classic flavor. You should know that you can season them to taste with your favorite ingredients, such as: garlic, provenzal, oregano, rosemary, dehydrated onion, among others.

Tip: If you don’t have oatmeal, you can easily make it by processing the flakes.

Next, add the oil and warm water little by little to form a malleable dough. Place the dough between two separating papers and stretch it in a rectangular shape with the help of a stick, approximately 1 cm high. Take it to the fridge for about 10 minutes to make it easier to continue with the next step. Once it’s cool, cut it in the classic nacho shape. To do this, cut the rectangle into strips 3 fingers wide and then into triangles. If you prefer, you can make original shapes such as squares, circles, hearts or the shape that you like the most.

Take the oatmeal nachos to a greased roasting pan with 1 teaspoon of oil and cook them in the hot oven for 5 minutes. After that time, carefully turn them over and brown them on the other side as well, another 5 minutes extra. They should be slightly browned to be crispy.

Prepare the cheese or sauce to accompany them and nachear. In this case, we accompany them with homemade cream cheese flavored with dried mint and garlic powder.
