Oatmeal and vegetable soup recipe

Ingredients to make Oatmeal and Vegetable Soup:

  • 500 ml of chicken broth.
  • 200 grams of oatmeal in flakes.
  • 100 grams of cooked peas.
  • 100 grams of cooked carrot.
  • 200 grams of cooked potato.
  • 1 unit of white onion cut into squares.

How to make Oatmeal and Vegetable Soup:

  1. Prelist all the ingredients
  2. In a deep pot add the broth and vegetables. Bring to low heat.
  3. Bring a frying pan to medium heat, add a tablespoon of sunflower oil or fry the onion for approximately 3 to 5 minutes.
  4. Once our onion is fried, add the oatmeal and let it cook for about 2 – 4 more minutes. Turn off heat and set aside.
  5. Mix with the broth step number four and stir well. Cook over low heat for 10 minutes or until the soup thickens. Turn off the fire.
  6. Serve with a little cilantro or parsley sprinkled on top and enjoy.
