Ingredients to make Oatmeal and Pistachio Energy Bars:

  • 70 grams of unsalted butter
  • 70 grams of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 35 grams of Pistachios
  • 120 grams of oat flakes
  • 30 grams of dried apricots
  • 30 grams of Prunes

How to make Oatmeal and Pistachio Energy Bars:

  1. We gather all the ingredients to make the oatmeal and pistachio energy bars.
  2. In a pot we heat the butter, brown sugar and honey. With the quantities that we have indicated, you will obtain quite sweet bars, so you can reduce the sugar a bit.
  3. Once these ingredients have melted, remove the preparation from the heat.
  4. Add the dried apricots and the chopped prunes.
  5. These bars are also great with dried cranberries or dried figs.
  6. Next, we add the peeled and chopped pistachios.
  7. We have chopped them with the knife, but you can also pass them through the mincer.
  8. Finally, we add the oat flakes and mix well so that all the ingredients are integrated and we can finish the energy bars.
  9. We transfer our pasta for energy bars to a greased baking dish or covered with non-stick paper. Press well so that the dough is uniform.
  10. We put in the oven at 150ºC for 30 minutes.
