Ingredients to make Oatmeal and Banana Smoothie:
- 2 cups of oat flakes
- 2 pieces of Bananas
- 2 glasses of milk
- 2 tablespoons of Sugar
- 4 cups of lukewarm water
How to make Banana Oatmeal Smoothie:
- In order to make this nutritious oatmeal and banana smoothie, the first thing we must do is prepare the ingredients. I have opted for ripe plantains for a sweeter flavor, but you can use green plantains if you prefer.
- We take the oat flakes, place them in a large container and cover them with the water. We will leave the oats to soak for at least two hours. If we prefer, we can do this step the night before and leave it overnight.
- After the soaking time, drain the oats and place the hydrated flakes in the glass of the blender or mixer. Separately, we peel the bananas, chop them up and also add them to the blender.
- Pour the milk into the blender glass and add the sugar to proceed to prepare the oatmeal smoothie. I have used semi-skimmed milk, but if you prefer you can opt for oat or almond milk, since both options are perfect for this banana smoothie.
- Mix all the ingredients well until there are no lumps. If we see it very thick, we can add a little more milk. Likewise, we always have the option of straining the oatmeal shake to obtain a smoother preparation.
- Clever! We serve the oatmeal and banana smoothie and enjoy it as a breakfast or snack, accompanied by chia seed or almond cookies. And if you like, you can sprinkle a little cinnamon powder on top.
