Ingredients to make nougat cake without oven:

  • 200 grams of Maria biscuits (1 package)
  • 85 grams of butter
  • 350 milliliters of milk
  • 350 milliliters of whipping cream (1¾ cups)
  • 400 grams of almond nougat
  • 6 sheets of neutral gelatin
  • 1 bag of crocanti almonds to decorate

How to make nougat cake without oven:

  1. Soaking the gelatin sheets according to the manufacturer’s instructions will be the first thing we will do to start making this no-bake nougat cake.
  2. Prepare the biscuit base: to do this, we crush the biscuits and mix them with the butter at room temperature.
  3. We will put the cookies on the base of a removable mold that we will have previously greased with butter. We put the mold in the fridge with the cookie base for the cold nougat cake without an oven.
  4. In a casserole we put the milk, the cream and the nougatcut into pieces. We will have it over medium heat stirring until all the nougat is undone.
  5. If you prefer, you can make the easy Jijona nougat recipe yourself at home instead of buying it already made.
  6. When all the nougat is discarded, we will add the well-drained gelatin leavesto the hot cream, stir well until they dissolve.
  7. We take the mold out of the fridge and slowly we will pour the nougat cream over the biscuit base. Let it rest for 10 minutes, cover it with the crocanti almonds and put the nougat cake without an easy oven in the fridge for a minimum of 6 hoursor overnight.
  8. We take the nougat cake without an ovenperfect for Christmas from the fridge and when it’s time to serve we put it in a dish. And ready to eat!
