Nougat and chocolate cake recipe

Nougat and chocolate cake, the perfect combination for a wonderful dessert. This is a simple cake to prepare and ideal to end a good meal. The nougat and chocolate combine very well and together with the biscuit base make it a delicious cake.

Ingredients to make nougat and chocolate cake:

  • 200 grams of cookies
  • 80 grams of butter
  • 500 milliliters of whipping cream (milk cream)
  • 500 milliliters of milk
  • 200 grams of chocolate to melt or dark
  • 1 nougat tablet
  • 3 envelopes of curd

How to make nougat and chocolate cake:

  1. Crush the cookies, melt the butter and mix both ingredients.
  2. Cover the bottom of the mold with the cookies,flattening them well to form a uniform and compact base. Then, reserve the mold in the fridge so that the base hardens while you continue preparing the nougat and chocolate cake.
  3. Tip: Our mold is about 23 cm in diameter.
  4. Put a saucepan with 250 ml of cream(or milk cream), 100 ml of milk and the chopped chocolate.
  5.  Cook these ingredients over medium heat, stirring until the chocolate is well melted. You can also make the white chocolate nougat cake using this type of chocolate, since the recipe is the same.
  6. Dissolves the curd. To do this, take 150 ml of milk in a bowl and add 1 and a half envelopes of curd. Stir well until there are no lumps.
  7. Trick: You can make the nougat and chocolate cake without curd by substituting it for neutral gelatin or agar-agar.
  8. Pour the curd and milk mixture into the chocolate saucepan and stir until it starts to boil. Then, turn off the heat and let cool for a couple of minutes.
  9. Pour the chocolate mixture over the cookie layer. Put the cake back in the fridge and leave it for 1 hour
  10. Meanwhile, prepare the nougat layer.
  11. To make it, put the 250 ml of cream and 100 ml of milk in a saucepan, add the nougat cut into pieces and stir until well dissolved.
  12. With the rest of the milk dissolve the other envelope and a half of curd and add the mixture to the cream.
  13.  When it starts to boil, turn off the heat, let the mixture cool down a bit, take the mold out of the fridge and add the nougat cream on top of the chocolate cream.
  14. Put the chocolate and nougat cake in the fridge and leave it for 3 to 4 hours to set well, or overnight.
  15. After time, you will be able to unmold it without problems and serve it. It is that easy to make this dessert!
  16. Without a doubt, it is an ideal cake for the end of the year or any of the days after Christmas, since it allows us to take advantage of leftover nougat and chocolate.

Tip: To speed up the process, leave the cake in the freezer for 1 hour.
