Nopales are vegetables that can be prepared as a main stew or to accompany dishes such as mole, barbecues, or roast meat. We will show you how to prepare nopales in pasilla sauce. Alone or to accompany they are delicious. Do not stay without preparing and enjoying them.
Ingredients to make Nopales in pasilla sauce:
- 1 kilogram of Nopales
- 500 grams of potatoes
- 500 grams of green tomato
- 6 pieces of Chile pasilla
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of Bicarbonate
- 30 milliliters of Oil
- 3 garlic cloves
- 100 grams of onion
How to make Nopales in pasilla sauce:
- To prepare the nopales in pasilla sauce, we first prepare the ingredients.
- Wash, and boil the potatoes with a little salt until they are soft without bursting, between 15-20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, we wash and chop the nopales, place them in a container and add the bicarbonate of soda, stirring until foam begins to come out.
- Rinse them and cook in salted water, a clove of garlic and a piece of onion.
- We wait for them to boil for 5 minutes and they are removed from the heat, strained and set aside.
- Separately, cook the green tomato and the previously washed and seeded pasilla Chile. We also add a clove of garlic and a piece of onion.
- Once cooked, let them cool, grind them in a blender and set aside.
- Next, we put a saucepan over medium heat until hot. Immediately we put the oil and brown the chopped potato.
- Once the potato has browned, we add the pasilla sauce.
- We wait for the pasilla sauce to boil with the potatoes, approximately 10 minutes and add the previously cooked nopales
- Boil the nopales with pasilla sauce for a few more minutes. We rectify the salt and that’s it, enjoy.
