Ingredients to make Bonito Roll:
- 1 Nice Wheel
- bread crumbs
- 1 Egg to beat
- Serrano ham
- 1 hardboiled egg
- 1 onion
- 5 garlic
- 1 green pepper
- Fried tomato (preferably natural)
How to make Bonito Roll:
- The bonito wheel is cleaned by removing the black and the thorns and the skin (if it has one).
- On a smooth surface, the tuna wheel is crumbled, crushed with a fork (until a kind of paste is obtained) and spread. Add a little breadcrumbs on top (as if we were adding salt) and beaten egg and stir and knead a little.
- Spread plenty of flour on aluminum foil, put the tuna paste on top and spread well.
- Put some strips of Serrano ham on top and the hard-boiled egg in thin slices.
- A roll is made by twisting the aluminum foil, giving it a little shape and removing the foil.
- Heat the oil in an earthenware pan (or a casserole that fits) and brown the tuna roll.
- In a frying pan, put the onion, garlic and green pepper (all finely chopped) and a couple of table spoons of tomato.
- It is left over low heat to poach well and then it is transferred to the casserole.
- In the same pan, bring water with salt to a boil. When it boils, add it to the casserole and keep it on low heat for no more than 1/4 hour.
