Mushroom ravioli recipe with tomato sauce

In this recipe we are going to cook some homemade ravioli stuffed with mushrooms, which we will accompany with an exquisite tomato sauce made by ourselves. Stay to see the step by step of this traditional Italian recipe and its ingredients.

Ingredients to make Mushroom Ravioli with tomato sauce:

  • 1 unit of homemade mushroom ravioli
  • 4 units of red tomatoes
  • 2 units of white onion
  • 1 jar of tomato paste
  • 1 bunch of Basil
  • 2 teaspoons of olive oil
  • 1 pinch of garlic paste
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of black pepper
  • 1 glass of white wine

How to make mushroom ravioli with tomato sauce:

  1. The first step to make the recipe for ravioli in homemade tomato sauce is to prepare the ingredients.
  2. First, we are going to make the homemade tomato sauce. To do this, take a deep pot over medium heat, add the olive oil, the onion and the tomatoes in large pieces. Add salt, black pepper and garlic paste to taste.
  3. Bring a pot with enough water to the fire and, once the water is boiling or about to boil, add the ravioli and cookthem until they are al dente or soft. Remove from the water and reserve.
  4. Meanwhile, when the sauce ingredients have sautéed for a few minutes, pour water to cover them and let everything cook for another 20 minutes. After this time, turn off the heat and let it cool.
  5. Once the previous preparation is cold, process the ingredientsand pass the mixture through the strainer to obtain a finer sauce.
  6. Then, take the remaining liquid to a deep pot, add the tomato paste and a teaspoon of sugar or favorite sweetener to remove the acidity that the tomato contains.
  7. Bring a frying pan over medium heat with a teaspoon of olive oil; add the previously cooked mushroom ravioli and sauté for a few minutes.
  8. Add the homemade tomato sauceand let it cook on low heat for 10 minutes.
  9. Add the finely chopped basil and let it keep for another five minutes, then turn off the heat.
  10. Serve the homemade ravioli with tomato sauce,drizzling with the sauce and sprinkling a little fresh basil on top.
