Mote De Queso Recipe

Ingredients to make Mote de queso:

  • 1 kilogram of Yam
  • 750 grams of hard salty cheese
  • 80 milliliters of serum
  • 2 branches of long onion
  • 1 unit of big-headed onion
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 1 lemon unit
  • 60 milliliters of oil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper

How to make Cheese Mote:

  • Before making this recipe, the first step is to get all the ingredients ready.
  • In a pot with plenty of water, cook the yam, peeled and cut into pieces with a long onion branch, for 45 minutes.
  • Separately, in a frying pan with oil, fry the finely chopped onions and the macerated garlic until soft, season with salt and pepper.
  • Add the sofrito to the soup and cook for another 30 minutes. Then add the cheese cut into cubes, cook until slightly soft and finally rectify the flavor with a few drops of lemon, the coastal whey and if necessary a pinch of salt.
