Ingredients to make Monkfish with lemon:
- 1200 grams of monkfish
- 1500 grams of onion
- 4 lemons
- 4 tablespoons of liquid cream
- 150 grams of butter
- chopped parsley
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 green pepper
- 5 tablespoons of oil
- 2 butter spoons
- 5 grams of pepper
How to make Monkfish with lemon:
- Chop the onions very finely and grate the lemons. Boil together in a saucepan with water for about 5 minutes.
- Drain.
- Wash and seed the peppers, cut them in half and into strips of the same size.
- Cut the monkfish into transversal scallops as if it were salmon, season with salt and pepper and spread them in a flat dish, cover with aluminum foil and put them in the fridge.
- Put in a casserole 2 tablespoons of butter and 5 of oil.
- Sauté the peppers in it for 5 minutes, add the drained onions and the lemon, season with salt and pepper and add the peppercorns and parsley.
- Cover with buttered aluminum foil and bring to the heat, letting it cook for about 10 minutes.
- Put the fish on the onions and peppers and cook for another 10 minutes.
- In a frying pan, put the juice of 2 lemons, the cream and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve the fish over the onion and peppers and cover with the lemon sauce.
- It can be accompanied with some steamed potatoes.
