Mixed Paella recipe with ribs

FoodsDiary By FoodsDiary

The mixed paella is one of the best known rice dishes in Spain and abroad. Like all recipes, the mixed paella has and admits many variants, you can add or remove the ingredients you want and that is why there are paellas with chicken, with seafood, paella with rabbit, with vegetables and more… but in this case, this step-by-step paella recipe is how I have always made it at home.

I don’t put any more seafood but you can put as much as you want, although without going overboard so that it doesn’t cover up too much the flavor of the meat and vegetables that have to be the protagonists.

Let’s go then with the recipe for mixed paella with ribs and enjoy a wonderful dish with a lot of Spanish flavor.

Ingredients to make mixed Paella with ribs:

  • 300 grams of chopped chicken
  • 250 grams of Chopped Rib
  • 200 grams of chopped rabbit
  • 200 grams of mussels
  • 8 prawns
  • 100 grams of green beans
  • 2 artichokes
  • 1 red pepper
  • 2 ripe tomatoes
  • 400 grams of Rice
  • 1 sachet of food coloring or saffron
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 handful of Backbones

How to make mixed Paella with ribs:

  1. Once you have all the ingredients on the kitchen counter, start by washing and chopping the red pepper, the green beans and the artichokes.
  2. Clean the mussels and remove the beards. It also washes and cuts the longest whiskers of the shrimp.
  3. Next, put the paella pan on the fire with oil to make the base sauce.
  4. Then, when it is hot, add a handful of salt and add the garlic cloves cut slightly in the center, let them brown through the oil and remove.
  5. Put the prawns in the oil and fry until golden brown, remove from the pot and reserve. Add all the meat and fry in the same oil until it is well browned on all sides, add a little salt.
  6. Add the pepper and the chopped vegetables, give them a few turns until they are well fried.
  7. Remove the artichokes and reserve next to the prawns.
  8. On the other hand, grate the tomatoes and add them to the paella sauce. Season with a touch of salt, stir and fry until the tomato is done.
  9. Add the baboons to the soffit.
  10. Add water to completely cover all the ingredients that are in the paella pan and when it starts to boil, add the mussels and saffron.
  11. Let it boil over medium heat for about 15 or 20 minutes and when there are about 5 minutes left add the artichokes.
  12. After this time, add the rice and make a cross to see if you have enough broth, if the rice sticks out only a little of the broth is the exact amount, distribute it throughout the pot.
  13. Taste for salt in case it is necessary and let it cook over high heat for about 10 minutes, then lower it to medium heat for another 10 or until you see that it is cooked.
  14. Let the rice cook a little in the paellón, it’s the agarraet, and that gives it a delicious touch. Place the prawns on top of the rice.
  15. Turn off the heat, cover and let the mixed paella with ribs rest for about 5 minutes.
