Milk Soup with Meat Recipe

The milk soup is one of the cheapest and oldest options that exist in Peru. It is usually eaten as an appetizer in most Lima homes, it is a recipe that is inherited from family to family. The ingredients can vary depending on the availability of the ingredients, for example: some people can add carrot or leek, others can add chicken or meat, and they can even make this milk soup without meat. However, to make this recipe it is necessary to have beef, it can be stew or steak. It also contains yellow potatoes, although it can be replaced by any other type of potato.

  • 3 yellow potatoes

  • 1 medium red onion
  • 1 pinch of dried oregano
  • 120 grams of elbow noodles
  • 200 milliliters of evaporated milk
