Ingredients to make Milk Candies for Halloween:

  • ½ can of condensed milk
  • 1 cup powdered milk
  • food coloring

How to make Milk Candies for Halloween:

  1. Put the condensed milk in a container, add the powdered milk and mix with a spoon.
  2. When the mixture of condensed milk and powdered milk begins to thicken, mix it with your hands until you get an easy-to-mold paste like the one in the image.
  3. Tip: If the mixture is too smooth, add a little more powdered milk. If it’s too hard, add a little more condensed milk or whole milk.
  4. Separate the pieces of dough and shape as follows:
  5. Form a ball of dough
  6. Put the ball on a plate and flatten it slightly.
  7. Squeeze the ball on the sides and fix it with your fingers so that it looks like a skull head.
  8. Trick: Grease the plate in which you will mold the dulces de leche, to prevent it from sticking to the plate and crumbling when it is released.
  9. Place the skulls on a plate with powdered milk and draw the faces of the skull with the food coloring and a toothpick. In this case, we use black and green food coloring, but you can use other ingredients that we indicate below.
  10. Tip: Outline the faces of the skulls with a dry toothpick, so that the coloring settles in these outlines and does not drip. It is better to use gel food coloring.
  11. After decorating, your Halloween candy canes will be ready to enjoy!
