Mexican Gorditas Recipe

If you enjoy tacos, tamales, tortillas and other products derived from corn, you cannot miss this recipe for Mexican gorditas. Gorditas are one of the favorite fast foods of Mexicans, they are commonly sold on the streets and are accompanied by lettuce, cream, cheese and the sauce of your choice. Dare to try this homemade Mexican recipe, you will surely love it.

Ingredients to make Mexican Gorditas:

  • 400 grams of corn dough
  • 200 grams of pressed Chicharron
  • 100 grams of onion
  • 100 grams of fresh cheese
  • 100 grams of Lettuce
  • 100 grams of sour cream
  • 100 grams of Coriander

How to make Mexican Gorditas:

1.Before preparing the Mexican gorditas we must have all our utensils at hand and our vegetables washed and disinfected.

2.We start by sautéing the finely chopped onion, add the pressed pork rinds and season with salt and pepper to taste.

3.Apart we form a ball with the dough and make a hole in the center, fill with the pork rind preparation.

4.We close the ball and gently flatten with our hands until we obtain the shape of a flat disc.

5.Finally, fry the gorditas in abundant oil and let drain.

6.To serve, we cut the Mexican gorditas in half and fill with cheese, onion, lettuce, sour cream, cilantro and sauce to taste.
