Ingredients to make Mexican Wires:
- ½ kilogram of beef
- 150 grams of Bacon
- 1 onion
- 1 poblano chili
- 1 bell pepper
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch of pepper
- 5 corn tortillas
How to make Mexican wires:
To start preparing the Mexican wires, you must cut the beef into fajitas or strips if you use beef steak, and do the same with the bacon. If ground beef is used, as in our case, this step will not be necessary. Separately, chop the onion, the bell pepper and the poblano pepper. It should be noted that you can use green or red pepper (or half of each) and the chili that you like the most. Now, the chopped onion is sautéed in hot oil until it turns transparent. At this point, add the pepper and stir to integrate.
When the pepper is soft, add the chili, stir a couple of times and add the beef. Then, once the meat is almost done, to continue with the elaboration of the Mexican wires, the chopped bacon is added. Now it only remains to add salt and pepper to taste. Mexican wires are served on corn tortillas previously passed through the iron to heat them.
