Ingredients to make Melon stuffed with fruits with sauce:

  • 1 unit of Melon
  • 1 can of peach
  • 2 units of Bananas
  • 5 units of Tangerines (baby)
  • 3 slices of pineapple
  • 50 grams of black grapes

For the condensed milk and vanilla sauce

  • Peach syrup
  • 3 dessert spoons of white sugar
  • 2 dessert spoons of Cornstarch
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 cup of evaporated milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • Chopped walnuts (optional)

How to make Fruit Stuffed Melon with Salsa:

We wash all the fruits well and, once this is done, we cut a piece of the melon horizontally. Then, we discard the seeds and carefully extract the pulp. We chop it and reserve it to mix it later with the rest of the fruit.

We cut all the fruits into cubes except the grapes and the baby tangerines. On the other hand, prepare the sauce. To do this, add the sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon stick to a medium saucepan. Gradually add the evaporated milk.

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to boil and thickens slightly.

Take the pot off the heat and remove the cinnamon sticks. Then, add the vanilla extract, the condensed milk, the peach syrup and stir everything well.

Reserve the previous condensed milk sauce in the refrigerator for 1 hour, or until the mixture is very cold.

Take the melon and fill it with the chopped fruits. Then, pour the sauce over them, sprinkle with cinnamon powder and/or chopped nuts. And ready! You already have your fruit-stuffed melon ready to eat as a salad accompanied by a glass of fruity white wine.

Tricks

Refrigerate left over sauce in a covered container up to 3 to 4 days.
