Meat with Tomato and Onion Recipe

Ingredients for meat with tomato and onion:

  1. 1 kilogram of lean pork
  2. 1 onion
  3. 3 bay leaves
  4. 1 can of crushed tomato
  5. 1 glass of olive oil
  6. 1 glass of white wine
  7. 1 pinch of salt
  8. 1 pinch of white pepper
  9. 1 pinch of garlic powder

How to make Beef with tomato and onion:

  • We prepare all the ingredients to cook the meat in sauce. In this case we have decided to cook pork, but if you prefer you can follow this same recipe using minced beef.
  • Heat the olive oil in a saucepan. If you don’t have the typical clay pot, don’t worry, you can use any pot you normally cook with.
  • When it is hot, we make a frying pan adding the finely chopped onion, the bay leaves and let it sauté.
  • Once sautéed, add the pork along with the ground garlic, salt, and pepper and let it cook for 10 more minutes.
  • After 10 minutes, add the white wine, distributing it throughout the casserole.
  • Then it is the turn of the crushed tomato, so add it to the casserole, stir and continue cooking.
  • To finish cooking our stewed meat, we let it cook for 45 more minutes over medium heat. You will see that the sauce reduces and thickens slightly, the meat should be soft and tender and the sauce to your liking.
  • After this time, remove the meat in tomato and onion sauce from the heat and serve. You can accompany it with white rice or a green salad.
