Meat Substance Recipe

Ingredients to make Meat Substance:

  • 500 grams of beef brisket
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 garlic
  • 3 sticks of celery
  • 1 cup leek
  • 1 tomatoes
  • 4 yellow potatoes
  • 200 grams of spaghetti
  • 2 liters of meat stock
  • 1 splash of vegetable oil
  • salt, pepper and oregano to taste

How to make Meat Substance:

  • To start with the meat substance recipe, first try to achieve the best meat stock you can, this means that the stock you are going to use is as concentrated as possible. On this occasion it is valid to get beef bones and let them boil together with a handful of salt, approximately 1 hour, until the liquid has concentrated enough. Next, reserve the cooking liquid to use in this preparation.
  • Tip: to enhance the flavor of this stock even more, you can add onion, celery, garlic, carrot and leek, let it boil for the same amount of time.
  • Get all the vegetables chopped into small pieces, as you can see in the image.
  • Season with salt and pepper the meat you have chosen for your substance soup.
  • In a pot, heat a splash of vegetable oil and add all the chopped vegetables together with the peeled clove of garlic, gently brown for 3 minutes.
  • Add the meat stock along with the previously seasoned beef brisket. Next, also add a pinch of salt and oregano to taste, cover the pot and cook over medium heat for approximately 40 minutes.
  • When the meat is already soft, remove it and reserve it. Now taste the broth and adjust the salt. Once the flavor is good, add the spaghetti along with the yellow potato, peeled and in small cubes.
  • After about 8 minutes, turn off the heat. We note that the noodles and potatoes should already be cooked at this point. To serve, you only need to shred the meat you reserved or chop it into small pieces.
