In this recipe we will show you a delicious combination, potatoes and meat in a single dish. I have devised this recipe as an accompaniment to any dish or simply as a snack, so let’s get to work and make this incredible recipe for meat bombs!

Ingredients to make Meat Bombs:

  • 8 units of medium potatoes
  • 250 grams of ground pork and beef (these should be mixed)
  • 100 grams of breadcrumbs
  • 1 pinch of garlic paste
  • 100 grams of long onion
  • 3 units of Tomatoes
  • 2 units of Eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • 2 units of white onion

How to make Meat Bombs:

1.The first step to make our recipe for homemade bombs is to pre-list the ingredients.

2.Peel the potatoes and cut them into medium squares. Take the potatoes to a deep pot with a little salt and cook them until they are soft to mash.

3.Take the tomato and the onion cut into medium squares to a pan over medium heat with a little oil to be able to make the sauce of our recipe.

4.Take the potatoes to a bowl and reserve them to be able to make the homemade meatballs.

5.Add a little salt, pepper and garlic paste to give a touch of flavor to our sofrito and filling of the homemade bombs.

6.Add the mixture of ground meat with a little long onion, fry the meat until it is at the desired cooking term, turn off the heat and reserve the filling.

7.Make a puree with the potatoes.

8.Take a little of the mashed potatoes and put it in the palm of your hand, make a hole and add a little of the filling as shown in the photograph. Thus, we fill the pumps.

9.Cover the filling with a little mashed potatoes and shape it into balls, they should be as shown in the photograph.

10.In a plate, beat the eggs as if you were going to make an omelet, and in another plate, add the breadcrumbs. Pass each of the homemade bombs first through the egg mixture and then through the breadcrumbs, reserve them.

11.Take a pan over medium heat with plenty of oil to fry, once it is hot fry the homemade bombs and turn it over so that they brown evenly.

12.Remove the bombs to a plate with some absorbent paper to remove excess fat.

13.Serve the meat bombs as an appetizer for any lunch or dinner, or as a side dish. In Spain it is very common to find them as a tapa and accompany them with patatas bravas, croquettes, etc.
