Meat and vegetable skewers recipe

Here you have an idea to prepare some juicy and flavorful skewers. The Moorish skewers or red skewers are well known in Spanish gastronomy, but the meat and vegetable skewers are a delicious universal preparation that you can also adapt to your taste with the vegetables that you like the most. Learn how to make a red marinade for meats and enjoy these red skewers at the next meeting.

Ingredients to make Skewers of meat and vegetables:

  • 500 grams of pork water (meat cut)
  • 1 tablespoon of special seasoning for red skewers
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 unit of Onion
  • 1 unit of red pepper
  • 1 unit of Zucchini
  • 1 handful of cherry tomatoes

How to make Meat and Vegetable Skewers:

1.If you can’t find the special seasoning for Moorish skewers or red skewers, you can make it at home by mixing cumin, ground black pepper, ginger, sweet paprika, turmeric and saffron with garlic, parsley, lemon juice, salt and oil.

2.Chop the meat and marinate for one or two days in the mixture, either purchased or prepared according to the previous instructions. Add the oil to this marinade and stir well so that the meat is completely impregnated.

3.On the day of preparation, peel and cut all the vegetables into bite-sized pieces, roughly equal to the size of the pieces of meat on the skewers.

4.To form the skewers, insert pieces of meat alternating with the different vegetables, you can finish each skewer with a cherry tomato to give them an elegant touch.

5.To cook them you can make them fried, or preferably grilled with a minimum amount of oil, remember that the skewers, being macerated, already have some oil.

6.Serve the meat and vegetable skewers at the moment.
