Marine Soup Recipe

Ingredients to make sea soup:

  • 1 kilo fish (only spines, heads)
  • 2 handfuls of washed rice
  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed with half an onion, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
  • 1 cup of yuyo, algae or ground mococho
  • 4 mixed eggs
  • 1 jar of evaporated milk
  • 200 grams prawns or shrimp
  • 8 pieces of fish (pulp) seasoned and sprinkled with breadcrumbs and then fried in hot oil
  • 8, mussels or anchovies
  • 8 fan shells can also be replaced by snails
  • 1 teaspoon of red paprika
  • Salt
  • pepper to taste
  • 4 liters of water
  • 1 teaspoon of seasoning

How to make sea soup:

  1. In a large pot, put a splash of oil, brown the garlic, onion, paprika, the fish (bones), then add the water, let it boil for 25 minutes or more, if desired.
  2. Strain and add the rice and cook for 18 minutes along with the ground yuyo.
  3. Then add the rest of the seafood, cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 cup of water or cold broth, salt, pepper, seasoning, eggs and milk.
  4. Get off the heat and serve.
  5. In a deep plate place a piece of fish and bathe with the broth, put an anchovy or mussel, a shell and serve hot.
  6. You can add as decoration, very finely chopped parsley, and separate toasted bread with butter.
