Light cod sandwich recipe

If you want to have a sandwich for dinner, the best thing is to have a good list of recipes with which you can innovate and one of them is this spectacular light cod sandwich, a bagel with a very original combination of flavors and that has a simply exquisite taste.

Having a light dinner to lose weight is not that difficult and nothing better than some quick sandwiches to help you do so. Keep reading and enjoy this light cod sandwich that we recently discovered and that has become one of our favorites at home.

Ingredients to make light cod sandwich:

  • 1 bagel bread
  • 1 dessert spoon of light mayonnaise
  • 1 dessert spoon of Ketchup light
  • 1 pinch of salt and pepper
  • 1 tomato
  • ½ Cucumber
  • 1 handful of dried cod
  • 1 slice of braised turkey

How to make light cod sandwich:

To make this light dinner sandwich, the first thing you need to do is gather all the ingredients. When you have them, start by peeling and cutting the cucumber into slices. Then cut the tomato into thin slices. To make this cod sandwich I have preferred to use salad tomatoes, but if you want you can use cherry tomatoes or any other of your choice.

Now it’s time to make the dressing. To do this, mix the sauce with a little salt and pepper to taste. Keep in mind that since it is a light sandwich we have preferred to use lighter ingredients and with less added sugar than the classic ones, but if you don’t have any, you can also use the usual ones or make your own, for example with the homemade mayonnaise recipe. To assemble our bagel sandwich, spread one of the two bread tops with the sauce. Be generous and apply the pink sauce so that it covers the entire surface well. Place the vegetables, start with the cucumber and then the tomato.

The protagonist of this recipe is the dry cod, remember that you can get this type of cod in crumbs already desalted ready to eat. Otherwise, you should leave it to soak in water for a couple of hours to remove excess salt. Add the cod crumb to the bread. Finally, cover with the braised turkey slice, the combination of these flavors will surprise you. If you prefer, you can use sweet ham or smoked chicken breast, which is also perfect. Enjoy this light cod sandwich for dinner or even for lunch if you’re on a diet and don’t have much time to cook.
