Lettuce and Cheese Salad Recipe

There are many recipes with lettuce, such as lettuce pesto, but the truth is that the most popular recipes are salads. In this case, we will make the lettuce the main ingredient, because its flavor and texture, together with that of Parmesan cheese, is spectacular and to surprise, it does not need more than a simple seasoning with pepper.

Ingredients to make Lettuce and Cheese Salad:

  • 1 American lettuce
  • 100 grams of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 50 milliliters of olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper

How to make Lettuce and Cheese Salad:

Strip and wash the lettuce leaves well. Remember to discard any outer leaves or those that are bruised and brown.

The best way to wash lettuce is to run leaf by leaf under running water. Then, reserve on a colander, dry them with absorbent paper or a clean kitchen towel.

On the other hand, we will make simple vinaigrette by crushing the garlic and then mixing it with the olive oil and salt.

To assemble the lettuce salad you can use the whole lettuce leaves or if you prefer, you can chop them with your hands or cut them into thin strips, the presentation of this dish is to taste.
