Shredded meat is a preparation based on shredded meat and there are many ways to prepare this dish. This time we are going to serve it with lentils made from a stew and a touch of coriander at the end. The shredded meat after shredding it can be stewed with a Colombian Hogan.
Ingredients to make Lentils with shredded meat:
- 300 grams of soaked lentils
- 500 grams of beef brisket or brisket
- 200 grams of long onion
- 1 unit of white onion
- 4 units of red tomatoes
- 1 dessert spoon of garlic paste
- 20 grams of fresh coriander
- 10 grams of oregano
- 1 pinch of pepper
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 cup of blonde beer
How to make Lentils with Shredded Beef:
1. The first step to making our Colombian lentil recipe is to pre-list the ingredients.
2. Take a pot over medium heat and add a tablespoon of sunflower oil, and add the finely chopped onions.
3. Once you notice that our onions take on a transparent color, add the tomato in small squares, and salt. Pepper, garlic paste, and cumin powder.
4. Add the sobrebarriga where we have the Colombian soffit or Hogan if they pretend this soffit is the basis of many typical Colombian recipes, such as ground beef empanadas.
5. Add dried oregano to our meat to add a little flavor to the preparation.
6. Add two cups of water along with the cup of beer. Cover the pressure cooker and cook for about 1 hour until the meat is tender. Take it out to cool a bit and you can easily shred it. You must save the cooking broth that is left over from the meat.
7. Remove the water where the lentils were hydrated and let them drain very well for the preparation of the lentils with meat.
8. Add the lentils to the broth where our meat was cooked and cover the pot. Let the grains cook for about 20 minutes or until you taste them and they are soft.
9. Dismember the meat to be able to make the recipe for our Colombian lentils.
10. Shred the meat as shown in the photograph to make our recipe for lentils with meat.
11. Serve the ready-made lentils in a deep saucepan as shown in the photo.
12. Add the shredded meat on top of the lentils, sprinkle the finely chopped cilantro on top and you are ready to taste this wonderful dish of traditional Colombian cuisine.
