Lentils with bacon and potato recipe

Ingredients to make Lentils with Bacon and Potato:

  • 300 grams of soaked lentils
  • 150 grams of bacon or pancetta
  • 200 grams of yellow potatoes
  • 200 grams of long or green onion
  • 5 units of tomatoes
  • Garlic salt
  • Thyme
  • 1 large unit of carrot
  • Salt
  • Pepper

How to make Lentils with Bacon and Potato:

1. Prelist the ingredients.

2. Wash the tomato and the long onion and chop them very finely. Take a pressure cooker over medium heat, add a little oil and add the onion and tomato. Sauté.

3. Add the bacon or pancetta in strips. Sauté for a few more minutes.

4. Add the grated carrot and dried thyme. Add salt and pepper to taste, also a little of the garlic salt if you want to change the garlic salt for two finely chopped garlic cloves

5. Add the lentils and potatoes cut into small squares. Add enough water to cover them. Cook over medium heat for 30 to 45 minutes until soft.

6. Serve with a little Parmesan cheese on top. Enjoy.
