A reader sent me the recipe that I share with all of you here, lentil and tofu burgers. The truth is that it is a very simple, economical and delicious preparation, since she showed it to me I have not stopped making it! Ingredients to make Lentil and Tofu Burgers:
- 1 cup of dried lentils
- 1 unit of medium onion
- 4 units of small packed red peppers (piquillo or bell pepper)
- 120 grams of soft Tofu
- 1 handful of breadcrumbs
How to make Lentil and Tofu Burgers:
1.To make this vegan burger recipe, boil the lentils. While they are cooking, sauté the previously chopped onion and peppers in oil.
2.When the lentils are done, drain them and crush them slightly, so that there is about half of the whole lentil left. Then, in the same saucepan where you sautéed the vegetables, without removing the oil, add the lentils and tofu.
3.Mix well and add the amount of breadcrumbs necessary so that the dough can be molded and formed into hamburgers. Once achieved, make the hamburgers the size you want and cook them fried or baked.
4.And ready! You already have your vegan lentil and tofu burgers ready to eat accompanied by white rice, sautéed vegetables or the salad that you like the most.
