Leek Quiche Recipe

Leek quiche, a savory vegetable tart that can be eaten hot or cold. Likewise, it is ideal as a starter or as a single dish, since it can be enjoyed without anything else or accompanied with a salad, for example.

The leek has a mild flavor similar to that of onion, which is why it is a perfect ingredient to incorporate into practically any dish. It also stands out for its nutritional value, since it has many vitamins and minerals. For all these reasons, the cake that I share is a recipe that you cannot miss. I have prepared it with a puff pastry base, although it can also be made with short crust pastry perfectly. Take note of the steps and discover with me how to make leek quiche, an easy recipe that will surprise you.

Ingredients to make Leek Quiche:

• 1 sheet of puff pastry

• 2 leeks

• 3 eggs

• 100 milliliters of cream or milk cream

• 50 grams of grated cheese

• 1 pinch of salt

• 1 splash of olive oil

How to make Leek Quiche:

We clean the leeks leaving only the white part. Then, we cut them into slices to prepare the quiche. Put a pan with a splash of oil, add the cut leek and let it fly over medium heat. Stir constantly with a wooden spoon or spatula so that the leek is well impregnated with the aroma of the oil. While the leek is cooking, put the eggs, the grated cheese, the cream, a little salt and pepper in a bowl. We beat and mix well all these ingredients, which will be the filling of the leek quiche. Put the puff pastry in a removable mold. If you wish, you can prepare the quiche dough yourself following this simple recipe. Prick the base of the dough with a fork to prevent it from rising when baking. When the leek is ready, add it to the egg mixture and integrate everything. Preheat the oven to 200ºC. Fill the dough with the previous mixture, making sure that it is well distributed. Then, we put the tart in the oven and bake the leek quiche at 180ºC, for 20-25 minutes, or until done. When it is golden, we remove the cake and serve. We can accompany the recipe for leek quiche with ham croquettes, wild potatoes or an orange and cod salad.
