  1. 300 grams of Sugar (1½ cups)
  2. 50 milliliters of Water
  3. 8 eggs
  4. 1 liter of milk
  5. 1 pinch of vanilla essence (optional)

How to make Leche asada without condensed milk:

  • In a saucepan add 100 g of sugar and the water. Boil these ingredients until it turns into caramel. Then, put the caramel in a mold that resists the heat of the oven and let it solidify.
  • Beat the 8 eggs separately, add milk, the remaining 200 g of sugar and vanilla essence to taste. Beat well so that the roasted milk is smooth and without lumps.
  • Once the caramel solidifies and the mixture is ready, pour it into the mold. Then, bake the milk mixture for approx. 30 min, at 180ºC / 356ºF.
