Lebanese Style Rice Recipe

Ingredients to make Lebanese style rice:

  • 350 grams of Rice
  • 200 grams of minced lamb meat
  • 1 cup of small toasted almonds
  • 1 onion
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon curry
  • 1 chili
  • 6 glasses of broth or water
  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 branch of parsley
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of Pepper

How to make Lebanese Style Rice:

  1. Once we have all the ingredients on the work table, we will start by heating oil in a clay pot. In this casserole we are going to fry the onion together with the chili pepper, the first finely chopped and the second whole.
  2. After a few seconds, add the minced garlic and stir. When we see that the garlic begins to brown, we add the minced meat into the casserole and let the whole thing fry for a couple of minutes.
  3. Stir with a wooden spoon, season with salt and pepper to taste and when the meat begins to cook, remove the chili.
  4. On the other hand, we dissolve the curry in a glass of broth and add it to the casserole. If you do not have vegetable or meat broth, you can use water.
  5. After adding the curry, we keep cooking for a minute and then, it will be time to add the rice together with half of the almonds, chopped into pieces or filleted.
  6. Fry everything for a few seconds and finally add the rest of the broth or water. Stir to mix all the ingredients well, correct the seasoning and cook for 15-20 minutes over medium heat.
  7. When the Lebanese-style rice is ready, sprinkle chopped parsley and the rest of the almonds on top.
