Jamaica Water with Guava

Ingredients to make Agua de Jamaica with guava:

  1. 2 liters of water
  2. 300 grams of Jamaica flower
  3. 1 cinnamon stick
  4. 5 pieces of medium guavas
  5. sugar to taste
  6. ice to taste

How to make Agua de Jamaica with guava:

  • To make the Jamaica water with guava recipe, first prepare the Jamaica infusion. To do this, place the Jamaican flower and the cinnamon stick in a container with a liter of water. Next, let it rest for 3 hours or for a whole night. You should know that the longer you let it rest, the better flavor it will release.
  • Tip: if you want to shorten the time, you can boil the Jamaica flower for 10 minutes, then let it cool.
  • Cut the guavas, removing the stalk and the tip. Then, slice them so that they are easy to grind.
  • Pass the guavas to the blender with a cup of water and sugar to taste, you can also use any sweetener of your choice.
  • When the Jamaican infusion with cinnamon is ready, drain the water and empty into a jug.
  • Finally, also empty the liquefied guava by passing through a strainer before. Next, add 3 more cups of water and mix until combined.
