Italian Lasagna Recipe

Making authentic Italian lasagna is much easier than it seems, you just need to know the instructions and be clear about what ingredients you want to use for the filling.

In this recipe we suggest you make it with meat but, if you prefer, you can make the modifications you want and add more ingredients, such as mushrooms or tuna. Keep reading and cook easy lasagna. You will see how this traditional Italian lasagna recipe leaves a very good taste in your mouth.

Ingredients to make Italian Lasagna:

  1. 500 grams of ground beef
  2. 200 grams of Pasta for lasagna
  3. 3 units of tomatoes
  4. 1 unit of white onion
  5. 1 unit of Carrot
  6. 1 splash of olive oil
  7. 30 grams of white wine
  8. 200 grams of milk
  9. 40 grams of Butter
  10. 2 tablespoons of flour

How to make Italian Lasagna:

  • Prepare all the ingredients to prepare the meat lasagna. In some Caribbean countries, the famous Italian lasagna is called pastiche.
  • Having everything ready to work, we will begin by preparing the meat for the filling. To do this, in a pot, sauté the finely chopped onion with olive oil and the grated carrot.
  • When the onion looks golden, add the meat and cook for 7 minutes. Stir everything and season to taste, since this meat will be the main filling of our homemade lasagna.
  • When the meat is cooked, we add the tomatoescut into squares, without seeds or skin, together with the white wine. Let the alcohol evaporate and reserve the mixture.
  • Besides, to make the béchamel sauce, we melt the butter in a pan and add the flour little by little. Cook the white sauce until lumps form.
  • Next, add the milk and mixuntil the sauce thickens. Then, we add salt and a little nutmeg to give a touch of flavor to the béchamel.
  • With the filling and sauce ready, it’s time to assemble the Italian meat lasagna. To do it, in an oven tray we have a layer of pasta that we previously cooked in boiling water, we add a layer of filling and on top a layer of white sauce.
  • Remember that you can also use pre-cooked pasta to make your lasagna.
  • We do this step as many times as we see fit and we finish with a layer of pasta, a layer of cream and cheese to gratin, bake the lasagna at 180ºCfor 20 minutes
  • Wait a few minutes for the pasta to be well compacted and then serve and taste the Italian lasagnawith a bit of country bread.
