Chickpea hummus is one of the most popular recipes in Arab cuisine, and its easy preparation and pleasant texture have made it the favorite accompaniment of many. Currently, it is common to find this simple cream in practically any corner of the world and even variants of it with other products, such as lentil hummus or beet hummus.
In general, it is usually made with tahini sauce, however, there are many who cannot get it or do not know how to make it. For this reason, in this recipe you will discover how to make hummus with homemade tahini sauce, don’t miss it!
Ingredients to make Hummus with tahini sauce:
- Garbanzo beans
- tahini sauce
- 2 tablespoons of toasted sesame
- 10 drops of lemon juice
- 1 pinch of sweet paprika or Vera
- 1 pinch of salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 pinch of Cumin
How to make Hummus with tahini sauce:
- Cook the previously hydrated chickpeas overnight. The amount of this legume is to taste, since depending on the amount of homemade hummus that you want to obtain, you must add more or less.
- Once the chickpeas are cooked, let them cool down a bit and put them in the processor to grind them with a tablespoon of tahini sauce, which I will explain how to do next. You can add a little water from cooking the chickpeas so that the hummus with tahini is not too thick.
- To make the homemade tahini sauce, you simply grind everything, forming a thick mixture, and that’s it. When the previous preparation is made a cream, we plate it.
- We can accompany the hummus with tahini sauce with whatever we want. I, for example, took it with minced meat and spices. It also goes perfectly with a dish of liver with onions in red wine or mushrooms stuffed with salmon.
