Ingredients to make Agua de horchata:
- 250 grams of rice
- 2 liters of water
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 400 grams of condensed milk
How to make Horchata water:
- Put the rice in a strainer and rinse under the tap until the water no longer runs white and we have removed some of the starch from the rice.
- Boil 1 liter of water and soak the rice in that water. Let it rest for 1 hour.
- Also boil 300 ml of water and soak the three cinnamon sticks. Let the cinnamon sticks infuse for the same time that you have the rice soaking.
- After the rest time, remove the cinnamon from the water and mix it with the rice. Add 700 ml more of water (in total there are 2 liters) and the condensed milk. Mix well with a manual whisk.
- Tip: You can also add a teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- With the help of an electric mixer, grind the mixture well, especially the rice grains.
- Strain all the natural horchata water preparation to remove the remains of rice grains.
- And finally, you can now bottle your quick rice horchata water in a bottle with a lid.
- Store the horchata water in the fridge so that it cools well until serving time. You can take it directly or accompanied by some ice.
