Homemade Potato Cream Recipe

Ingredients to make Homemade Cream of Potatoes:

  • For 4 people:
  • 4 large potatoes
  • 2 onions
  • 1/4 paprika
  • 1/2 carrot. Optional if you want to give it more color
  • Chives to taste
  • coriander to taste
  • butter to taste
  • Soft cheese
  • 1/2 cup of milk or heavy cream.
  • 1 liter of water or chicken broth. If you want to taste the soup.

How to make Homemade Cream of Potatoes:

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into pieces of the same size.
  2. Peel the carrot and cut it into pieces of the same size.
  3. Place the vegetables into the boiling water or broth and add the quartered onions, along with the paprika. Wait for the vegetables to soften.
  4. When the vegetables are cooked, proceed to blend everything and then pass it through the strainer to remove any fibers that may have remained.
  5. Pour the cream into the pot and cook a few more minutes over low heat, add the milk or heavy cream.
  6. When you are ready to serve, place a pinch of butter on the plate if you like, and add a few cubes of soft cheese. And garnish with chives or cilantro.
  7. Use only one of these herbs so as not to detract from the flavor of the potatoes.
  8. Check the salt point add freshly ground black pepper. My sister adds some popcorn for her children.
