Homemade Pate Recipe

Ingredients to make homemade pate:

For 4 people:

  1. 300 gr. pork cut into pieces
  2. 1 chicken breast
  3. 50 gr. bacon with lean
  4. 2 cloves of garlic
  5. 1/2 onion
  6. 1 bay leaf
  7. 1 ford of white wine
  8. 1 glass of meat broth
  9. 30 grams of butter
  10. parsley
  11. a pinch of hot paprika
  12. Salt
  13. Pepper
  14. toasted bread slices
  15. lettuce
  16. stuffed olives

How to make homemade Pate:

  • Chop the onion and cut the bacon into strips.
  • We melt the butter in a saucepan.
  • Add the onion, the crushed garlic and the bay leaf, let it fry slowly.
  • When the onion is well sautéed, add the bacon and meat, brown over high heat.
  • Next, season with paprika, sauté with the wine and let it reduce almost completely.
  • Approximately 5 minutes of cooking.
  • Add the broth and the diced chicken breast, let it cook for about 10 more minutes.
  • After this operation we add salt and pepper.
  • We put everything in the blender until we obtain a fine and homogeneous paste.
  • Let’s pour this paste into a container and squeeze it well until it closes under pressure with an airtight lid.
  • Let it rest for an hour in the refrigerator.
  • To serve, put the pate on a plate covered with julienned lettuce, decorate the pâté with some stuffed olives cut in half.
  • Accompany with slices of toasted bread.
