Ingredients to make homemade pate:
For 4 people:
- 300 gr. pork cut into pieces
- 1 chicken breast
- 50 gr. bacon with lean
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 onion
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 ford of white wine
- 1 glass of meat broth
- 30 grams of butter
- parsley
- a pinch of hot paprika
- Salt
- Pepper
- toasted bread slices
- lettuce
- stuffed olives
How to make homemade Pate:
- Chop the onion and cut the bacon into strips.
- We melt the butter in a saucepan.
- Add the onion, the crushed garlic and the bay leaf, let it fry slowly.
- When the onion is well sautéed, add the bacon and meat, brown over high heat.
- Next, season with paprika, sauté with the wine and let it reduce almost completely.
- Approximately 5 minutes of cooking.
- Add the broth and the diced chicken breast, let it cook for about 10 more minutes.
- After this operation we add salt and pepper.
- We put everything in the blender until we obtain a fine and homogeneous paste.
- Let’s pour this paste into a container and squeeze it well until it closes under pressure with an airtight lid.
- Let it rest for an hour in the refrigerator.
- To serve, put the pate on a plate covered with julienned lettuce, decorate the pâté with some stuffed olives cut in half.
- Accompany with slices of toasted bread.
