How to make homemade meat lasagna with béchamel:

  • The first step in cooking our meat lasagna is to prepare the vegetables to make the base sauce. Then start by cutting the peppers and onion into small pieces.
  • On the other hand, season the meat with salt and pepper to taste. The ground meat for lasagna can be beef or a 70-30 beef/pork mix to make it much juicier.
  • Now we start to prepare the sauce. To do this, heat a frying pan with a little oil and fry the onion and the peppers until they are well poached.
  • When the vegetables are done, add the minced meat and keep cooking until it changes color and is well done..
  • Now to finish with the meat, we add a tomato jet, mix well and reserve.
  • We have used the typical Orlando tomato sauce, but you can use any type of fried tomato or make your own tomato sauce for lasagna at home.
  • On the other hand we are going to cook the pasta plates. To do this, we are placing them in water for about 5-10 minutes over low heat. Be very careful that they do not stick. If you prefer you can buy the pasta that is already precooked to save you this step.
  • When they are done, Reserve the pasta sheets on a cloth or work surface with some separation to prevent them from sticking.
  • Mix all the ingredients to prepare the béchamel sauce. Place everything in a saucepan and cook over low heat until you get a slightly thick sauce.
  • The béchamel can be bought already ready
  • To assemble our minced meat lasagna, we place a glass tray and we are placing layers. First pasta, béchamel, tomato, meat and cheese on top, in this order we repeat until we finish with the ingredients.
  • The last layer should always be cheese.
  • To cook the lasagna, we put the tray in the oven and start at 100ºC first. For 20 minutes. When this time passes, we raise it to 200ºC and let it gratin until we verify that the upper layer is done and the cheese is melted and golden.
  • Let the homemade meat lasagna with béchamel rest for a few minutes before serving, so it will not fall apart when breaking the pieces and then, all you have to do is enjoy and savor it.
